Khatib & Alami is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join its Building Construction team in the UAE. The role is focused on delivering high-quality villas and high-end residential developments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with approved schedules. The ideal candidate will play a key role in project scheduling, progress monitoring, delay analysis, and recovery planning while coordinating closely with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining baseline programs and detailed project schedules in alignment with key project milestones. The role also involves tracking project progress, preparing weekly and monthly progress reports, and creating dashboards to provide clear visibility on project performance. A strong understanding of delay analysis techniques is essential to identify schedule slippages, evaluate their causes, and recommend effective corrective actions.
In addition, the successful candidate will develop and implement recovery plans to mitigate delays, optimize resource allocation, and support the timely completion of projects. The role requires close coordination with site execution teams, supervision consultancy teams, contractors, and clients to ensure planning activities accurately reflect actual site conditions and project priorities. Experience working on high-rise buildings, villas, and luxury residential developments will be highly valued.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of UAE experience in building construction projects and at least 5 years working with supervision consultancy firms. Strong technical expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, baseline scheduling, progress tracking, delay analysis, and recovery planning is required. The ideal applicant will also demonstrate strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, excellent communication, and the ability to manage complex project schedules with confidence and ownership.
