Role Overview

The HSE Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety systems to ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.

This role is critical in maintaining a safe working environment across construction sites.

Roles & Responsibilities

🦺 1. HSE Plan Implementation

• Implement project HSE plans aligned with:
  • Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center (ADOSH)
  • Company safety policies

⚖️ 2. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with:
  • Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHAD)
  • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
  • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)

🔍 3. Risk Assessment & Site Inspections

• Conduct:
  • Hazard identification
  • Risk assessments
  • Regular safety inspections
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented

🚨 4. Incident Investigation

• Lead accident/incident investigations
• Prepare detailed reports
• Recommend preventive and corrective measures

🎓 5. Training & Awareness

• Deliver:
  • HSE inductions
  • Toolbox talks
  • Safety training sessions
• Promote safety awareness among workers

📋 6. Permit to Work (PTW) System

• Monitor and enforce:
  • PTW procedures
  • Emergency response systems
• Ensure safe execution of high-risk activities

🤝 7. Coordination with Authorities

• Liaise with:
  • Clients
  • Consultants
  • Regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements

📈 8. Safety Culture & Continuous Improvement

• Promote proactive safety practices
• Improve overall safety performance on-site

Key Requirements

🎓 Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Engineering
  • Environmental Science
  • Or related field

🏗️ Experience

• Minimum 12+ years of HSE experience
• Experience in:
  • Building construction
  • High-rise or infrastructure projects

📜 Certifications (Very Important)

• Mandatory:
  • Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center (ADOSH Certificate)
• Preferred:
  • NEBOSH IGC
  • IOSH

⚙️ Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of:
  • UAE HSE regulations
  • Risk assessment methods
  • Safety management systems
