Project Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Project Manager to oversee the complete lifecycle of structural steel fabrication and erection projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects within budget, time, and quality standards – ensuring seamless coordination between engineering, fabrication, logistics, and site erection teams.

This role requires exceptional leadership, planning, and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of project execution within the UAE construction and steel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan, and manage the execution of multiple structural steel fabrication and erection projects from start to handover.
• Coordinate closely with design, procurement, production, logistics, and site erection teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, fabrication details, and erection plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and resource allocation to achieve project objectives efficiently.
• Enforce quality control and ensure all works meet international standards, client specifications, and HSE requirements.
• Conduct regular progress review meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to address challenges and ensure alignment on deliverables.
• Identify potential risks or delays and implement effective mitigation plans to maintain project timelines.
• Prepare and submit technical and financial reports, progress updates, and documentation to senior management.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure clear communication and client satisfaction throughout all project phases.
• Supervise and mentor Project Engineers and other project staff to ensure performance excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing steel fabrication and erection projects – preferably within the Middle East construction sector.
• UAE experience is mandatory with strong knowledge of local regulations, HSE, and fabrication practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of steel structures, connections, materials, and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Must be currently based in the UAE and available to join immediately.

Required Skills & Competencies:

🔧 Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabrication shop drawings, and erection layouts.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and structural design software (Tekla, STAAD, or similar tools).
• Deep understanding of welding procedures, material specifications, and quality control standards.
• Strong grasp of HSE regulations, QA/QC procedures, and compliance documentation.
• Knowledge of UAE construction codes, local authority approvals, and steel industry practices.

⚙️ Project Management Skills:

• Proven ability to plan, execute, and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget.
• Strong experience in resource planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Ability to coordinate effectively between design, workshop, logistics, and site teams.
• Skilled in preparing progress reports, method statements, and project documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address project challenges.

• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities — able to lead engineers, supervisors, and site staff.
