Tender & Estimation Manager

KAD Construction is looking for a highly experienced Tender & Estimation Manager to lead our tendering and estimation department. This role is critical to ensuring competitive, accurate, and timely bids for large-scale infrastructure projects across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

As a Tender & Estimation Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Lead and oversee the full tendering process from bid identification to submission.
• Develop and implement strategies for winning tenders and ensuring high success rates.
• Assign tasks and monitor the performance of the estimation team.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity take-offs for infrastructure projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify risks, opportunities, and cost implications.
• Analyze vendor quotations, subcontractor offers, and labor/material costs to ensure competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to align tendering processes.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders regarding technical and financial aspects of tenders.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost inputs for ongoing projects.
• Monitor market trends, material pricing, labor rates, and subcontractor rates in the UAE.
• Maintain a comprehensive cost database to support future tendering activities.
• Prepare detailed tender reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for management.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, standards, and contract requirements.
• Maintain quality and accuracy in all tender documentation and submissions.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS) are an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in tendering and estimation for infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing full tender cycles in the UAE market.

Strong track record of winning competitive tenders and managing large-scale projects.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and quantity take-off processes.
• Proficiency with estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, Primavera, CostX, or similar).

Strong understanding of UAE infrastructure construction regulations, contracts, and procurement processes.

Leadership & Management Skills:

• Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of estimators and tendering staff.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
