A N T Engineering Consultants (ANTCPL) is hiring skilled and detail-oriented Structural Draftsman to support ongoing and upcoming projects across the UAE and India. Job Overview
The Structural Draftsman will be responsible for preparing high-quality structural drawings, coordinating with engineers, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting project development from concept to construction. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, plans, sections, and layouts using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
- Draft structural components such as foundations, slabs, columns, beams, retaining walls, steel structures, and reinforcement details.
- Convert conceptual sketches and engineer directives into technical drawings.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure accuracy of drawings.
- Update drawings based on engineer comments, site conditions, and design modifications.
- Maintain consistency in drawing standards, formats, and templates.
- Ensure all drawings comply with UAE regulations, local authorities, and project specifications.
- Maintain organized drawing logs, revisions, and documentation for project submission.
- Prepare drawings for submission to authorities and support approval processes.
- Assist with quantity take-offs and drafting-related calculations when needed.
- Prepare as-built drawings based on site progress and engineer input.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of drawing packages.
Education
-
Diploma in Civil/Structural Drafting or an equivalent technical qualification.
Experience
- 3-7 years of proven experience as a Structural Draftsman.
- UAE experience in engineering consultancy is strongly preferred.
- Experience working on residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in: AutoCAD (Advanced Level), Revit (added advantage), Structural drafting standards and detailing practices
- Strong understanding of structural elements and reinforcement detailing.
- Familiarity with UAE authority standards (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Nakheel, etc.).
Technical Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches and structural calculations.
- Knowledge of international codes and UAE drafting standards.
