GOC is hiring highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineers to join our team and support ongoing infrastructure and road development projects across the UAE. The ideal candidates must have strong technical knowledge, hands-on site experience, and the ability to coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of all works.
1. Site Engineer – Utilities
The Site Engineer – Utilities will be responsible for overseeing utility network installation, ensuring all activities comply with project specifications, safety standards, and approved drawings. The candidate must demonstrate strong supervisory skills and the ability to solve site-related issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all utility works including trench excavation, pipe/duct installation, bedding, chamber construction, and backfilling.
- Review and verify line, level, slope, and cover requirements for all utility services.
- Coordinate with survey teams for setting out activities and alignment verification.
- Inspect materials, workmanship, and compaction to ensure compliance with project and authority standards.
- Liaise with testing teams for hydrostatic tests, pressure tests, CCTV inspections, and other utility-related tests.
- Maintain accurate daily progress reports, site observations, and inspection records.
- Ensure all work activities follow HSE requirements, environmental guidelines, and company safety procedures.
- Manage site workforce, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project deadlines.
- Assist in resolving technical issues, design discrepancies, and site conflicts with consultants and authorities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- 3–5 years of UAE/GCC experience in utility construction (sewer, stormwater, potable water, irrigation, fire-fighting, and telecom).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, authority requirements, and infrastructure standards.
- Experience in coordinating with consultants, contractors, and testing laboratories.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent knowledge of utility installation procedures and related quality standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project coordination tools.
- Ability to monitor site progress and prepare detailed engineering reports.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project timelines.
2. Site Engineer – Roads
The Site Engineer – Roads will oversee the construction and finishing of road works, ensuring all activities comply with engineering standards, project requirements, and safety regulations. The role involves coordinating with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality road infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise execution of subgrade, formation, subbase, roadbase, kerbstone installation, interlock paving, and asphalt works.
- Verify lines, levels, compaction, thickness, and finishing as per approved drawings and quality standards.
- Coordinate field density tests (FDT), Marshall tests, asphalt sampling, and material compliance checks.
- Monitor daily progress, labor allocation, equipment usage, and material consumption.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Ensure HSE procedures are strictly followed during all phases of road works.
- Coordinate with consultants for inspections, approvals, and rectification of site issues.
- Recommend corrective actions to resolve quality deviations or construction delays.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3–5 years UAE experience in road construction and infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of road layers, pavement design, and Asphalt QA/QC procedures.
- Practical knowledge of local authority standards and project specifications.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of road construction materials, methods, and standards.
- Ability to supervise large-scale site activities and deliver tasks within deadlines.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with teams and consultants.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic engineering software (AutoCAD preferred).
- Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
