About
China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation (CC7) is hiring a Document Controller to support project documentation, compliance, and administrative operations across major EPC projects in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Document Management & Control
- Manage the full lifecycle of project documentation, including creation, classification, numbering, revision control, approval, and archiving
- Maintain a structured filing system (electronic and physical) ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and traceability of all records
- Control documents such as technical drawings, method statements, RFIs, material submittals, inspection reports, permits, contracts, and project correspondence
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, QA/QC teams, procurement, and site teams to ensure timely document flow
- Track submissions and approvals to avoid delays in project schedules
- Distribute controlled documents to internal teams and stakeholders following strict distribution matrices
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all documentation complies with company procedures, client requirements, and industry standards
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate, up-to-date documentation whenever required
- Monitor compliance with document control guidelines across all departments
System Management
- Upload, update, and maintain documents in document control software such as Aconex, EDMS, SharePoint, or internal DMS
- Generate document status reports, registers, and logs for management and client review
- Maintain version control to prevent conflicts, duplication, or outdated document usage
Communication & Reporting
- Prepare transmittals, email notifications, tracking sheets, and project reports
- Act as the primary point of contact for document-related queries from clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Follow up on delayed approvals, missing documentation, and pending submissions
Confidentiality & Data Integrity
- Ensure sensitive documents, contracts, and internal communication are handled with confidentiality
- Protect data integrity through controlled access, backups, and verification
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
- Professional certification in Document Control is preferred
Experience Requirements
- 3–5 years of proven Document Control experience in the UAE
- Experience within engineering, EPC, construction, petrochemical, infrastructure, or industrial projects is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of project documentation standards used in large-scale construction projects
- Hands-on experience with Aconex (highly preferred), EDMS, SharePoint, or other Document Control platforms
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, formats, and revision structures
- Ability to create document templates, logs, and detailed tracking reports
- Familiarity with project workflows, document numbering systems, and approval cycles
