Senior Civil Structural Engineer

About the Role:
KEO is hiring a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Structural Engineer with extensive expertise in villas construction supervision to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role requires a proactive professional who can manage the full spectrum of structural engineering tasks, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients to ensure project expectations and contractual requirements are consistently met.
• Oversee the delivery of Design and Construction Management services throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Lead and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, covering procurement, planning, design, and construction phases.
• Conduct detailed structural calculations, simulations, and peer reviews to validate design integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural systems.
• Support construction teams by reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and addressing design-related challenges during execution.
• Participate in cost estimation and value engineering exercises, identifying cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or quality.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to present design solutions, manage expectations, and address project-related concerns.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, and UAE building regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in structural engineering, with a focus on large-scale villas projects in the UAE.
• Proven experience in construction supervision, project management, and structural design review.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong expertise in structural analysis, design, and calculations.
• Excellent project management and scheduling abilities.
• Proficient in structural design software (ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies and materials used in villas construction.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, procurement, and value engineering principles.
