QC Inspector – Precast

Abou Role

A QC Inspector is responsible for checking and verifying the quality of precast elements throughout the production process. This includes inspecting materials, reviewing drawings, monitoring concrete casting, conducting dimensional and visual checks, documenting findings, identifying defects, and ensuring all products meet project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect precast elements during production to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
• Monitor raw materials, reinforcement, molds, concrete mixes, and curing processes
• Conduct dimensional checks and visual inspections according to approved drawings
• Prepare inspection reports and ensure proper documentation in line with QA/QC procedures
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with production teams
• Support quality audits and assist in maintaining ISO-aligned quality management systems
• Ensure all site and factory operations follow safety and quality control guidelines
• Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and the QA/QC department for timely approvals
• Participate in pre-pour and post-pour inspections and maintain quality records
• Verify compliance with client specifications, industry codes, and regulatory requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field
• 2–4 years of proven experience as a QC Inspector in the precast concrete industry
• Strong understanding of precast production processes, quality standards, and inspection techniques
• Familiarity with project specifications, shop drawings, and QA/QC procedures
• Knowledge of relevant international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI) is an advantage
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and material specifications
• Strong understanding of safety standards in manufacturing and construction
