QA/QC Manager

Job Overview:

Bright Accord General Contracting (BAGC)is looking for a highly skilled QA/QC Manager to lead our quality assurance and quality control efforts and ensure all project activities meet the highest industry standards.

The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and maintaining all quality management procedures throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires strong expertise in quality systems, construction codes, audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Prepare and implement project-specific quality plans, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure document control for all QA/QC-related records.
  • Conduct inspections for civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works.
  • Review and approve inspection requests (IRs) and material inspection requests (MIRs).
  • Perform internal and external audits for quality compliance.
  • Ensure testing procedures are conducted as per ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).
  • Ensure all submissions meet client, consultant, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve:, Method statements, ITPs, Material submittals, Shop drawings & Prequalification documents.
  • Liaise with project managers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Represent the QA/QC department in project meetings.
  • Coordinate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor site activities to maintain compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure workmanship meets required project standards.
  • Identify quality risks and provide preventive solutions.
  • Lead the QA/QC team, including inspectors and coordinators.
  • Conduct training on quality standards, site procedures, and compliance.
  • Maintain discipline and ensure timely completion of quality tasks.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports.
  • Maintain records of inspections, audits, test results, and approvals.
  • Report quality issues, delays, and areas of concern directly to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Certification in ISO 9001 Lead Auditor is preferred (not mandatory).
  • Additional certifications such as NEBOSH, CQI, or QA/QC Professional Certification are an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of professional QA/QC experience in the construction industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial or supervisory QA/QC position.
  • Strong background in building construction projects, including high-rise, residential, commercial, or villa developments.
  • Experience in UAE construction environment is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of:

  • ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Construction materials and testing standards
  • QA procedures and auditing processes
  • IFC drawings and technical specifications
  • Risk assessment and root cause analysis

Ability to prepare:

  • NCRs, CARs, Checklists
  • Quality control forms
  • Inspection schedules
  • Compliance reports
