QA/QC Engineer

Full Time

PLC Contracting LLC is hiring a qualified and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to support the successful execution of marine construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with approved quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with project teams to improve quality performance, reduce risks, and promote a strong culture of continuous improvement across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System in line with company and client requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of site activities related to marine works.
  • Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors for quality-related matters.
  • Identify non-conformances (NCRs), monitor corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.
  • Ensure material compliance through inspection, testing, and documentation review.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and handover documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support accreditation requirements.
  • Promote awareness of quality standards and best practices among project teams.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and construction industry standards.
  • Knowledge of marine construction processes, materials, and testing procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and project quality audits.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in Quality Management (ISO 9001, Internal/Lead Auditor) are preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience as a QA/QC Engineer in marine, civil, or infrastructure projects.
  • Prior experience in UAE or GCC projects is an advantage.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction quality standards and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation systems.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain quality logs.
