Public Relations Officer (PRO)

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Public Relations Officer (PRO) with a strong background in UAE government relations and labor compliance, ideally within the marine industry. The PRO will play a vital role in ensuring the organization’s compliance with local laws and regulations, managing government-related documentation, and maintaining smooth communication with various government departments.

This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is fluent in both Arabic and English, and who can handle visa processing, licensing, renewals, and labor-related formalities with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and process employee visas, work permits, Emirates IDs, and other government documents in accordance with UAE laws.
• Liaise with ministries, embassies, municipalities, and other government authorities to ensure timely completion of company requirements.
• Maintain accurate and updated records of all legal and compliance documents related to staff and company operations.
• Coordinate with HR and management to ensure full compliance with UAE Labour Law, Pension, Tawteen, and Nafis programs.
• Handle trade license renewals, tenancy contracts, vehicle registrations, and other related corporate affairs.
• Assist with regulatory audits, inspections, and renewals relevant to the marine industry.
• Support management in identifying and mitigating risk and compliance issues related to government regulations.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with government officials and agencies to streamline operations.
• Keep up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and e-government systems (MOHRE, GDRFA, ICA, etc.).

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven PRO experience in the UAE, with a strong preference for candidates from the Marine Industry.
• Native Arabic speaker with excellent command of English.
• Proficient in UAE e-government portals (MOHRE, GDRFA, ICP, Municipality, and Chamber of Commerce).
• Knowledge of visa processing systems, corporate licensing, and renewal platforms.
• Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of UAE Labour Law, visa regulations, and compliance standards.
• Certifications: Training or certification in PRO or visa processing is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
