Job Overview

Desert Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager – Landscape Construction to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will manage complex landscape construction projects, ensuring quality execution, timely delivery, and effective coordination across teams and stakeholders.

The Project Manager will oversee landscape construction projects from planning and design coordination to execution, monitoring, and handover. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage resources, timelines, and quality standards efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complete project operations, ensuring efficient and successful delivery of labor, productivity, safety, and quality control.
  • Lead landscape construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with clients, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure consistent project performance.
  • Prepare and monitor project plans, BOQs, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and procurement requirements.
  • Oversee all commercial aspects of projects, including claims, variations, cost monitoring, and contractor evaluations.
  • Ensure site teams follow safety protocols, quality standards, and construction best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, progress reviews, and report submissions to management and clients.
  • Implement corrective actions when project deviations occur to maintain performance goals.
  • Ensure all deliverables align with client expectations and project specifications.
  • Support handover procedures, documentation, testing, and final approvals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in project management specifically for landscape construction.
  • Strong background in landscaping, infrastructure, irrigation systems, hardscape/softscape works, and outdoor construction.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale landscape projects in the UAE.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction standards, materials, and installation processes.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, BOQs, and construction documents accurately.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management software, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management.
