Project Engineer

Desert Group is expanding, and we are looking for skilled and dedicated professionals to join our growing team. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer who can take charge of project execution, daily operations, manpower planning, and material coordination, while ensuring adherence to quality standards and productivity targets.

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will oversee the execution of landscaping and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with ADM/DMT standards. The role requires strong site management experience, the ability to supervise manpower, coordinate materials, track progress, and deliver projects on time and within quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities on project sites, ensuring smooth execution of work.
  • Supervise manpower, allocate resources, and coordinate with subcontractors and site teams.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Plan and monitor material requirements, deliveries, and usage on-site.
  • Ensure all works align with ADM/DMT regulations, guidelines, and approval processes.
  • Oversee project progress, prepare daily/weekly reports, and escalate concerns proactively.
  • Implement quality control measures and ensure adherence to project standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor safety, workmanship, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal departments for project approvals and updates.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues and developing action plans to maintain project timelines.
  • Support in preparing documentation for inspections, handover, and final approvals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • Valid ADM/DMT Project Engineer License (strict requirement).
  • Additional training or certifications in project management or construction supervision is beneficial.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project execution, site supervision, or project engineering.
  • Strong background in landscaping, civil works, infrastructure, or irrigation projects.
  • Proven experience in managing manpower, subcontractors, and material coordination.
  • Experience working with UAE authorities, especially ADM/DMT standards.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of civil/landscape engineering practices and project execution.
  • Proficient in reviewing drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Strong understanding of ADM/DMT procedures, approvals, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office applications.
