CPECC is seeking an experienced Procurement Quality Control Lead / Procurement QC Lead Engineer to oversee procurement quality activities and ensure all project materials and equipment comply with required standards. The selected candidate will support ongoing Oil & Gas EPC/M projects, particularly those involving ADNOC and related entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Procurement QC team throughout all project procurement phases.
- Ensure vendor quality requirements meet project specifications, codes, and client standards.
- Review material requisitions (MR), datasheets, technical documents, and vendor submittals.
- Prepare and define quality requirements for purchased materials, equipment, and packages.
- Review and approve Vendor ITPs, QCPs, quality procedures, and inspection requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering to determine inspection, testing, and compliance needs.
- Participate in vendor selection, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and vendor capability assessments.
- Support factory inspections, FAT activities, and vendor audits to ensure manufacturing compliance.
- Identify, monitor, and close out NCRs related to vendor quality issues.
- Ensure material deliveries are defect-free and meet contractual quality criteria.
- Oversee Inspection Release Notes (IRNs), Material Record Books (MRBs), and final documentation.
- Ensure all procurement quality activities comply with EPC/M project requirements and ADNOC standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong technical background in EPC/M Oil & Gas projects.
- Proven experience working on ADNOC projects.
- Understanding of applicable international codes and standards (API, ASME, ASTM, ISO).
- Experience supervising procurement quality activities for large project packages.
- Knowledge of vendor manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and testing procedures.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related field.
- Professional certifications in quality (e.g., ASQ, CSWIP, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are an advantage.
- Training in vendor inspection, material quality control, or NDT techniques is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Procurement Quality Control within Oil & Gas EPC/M projects.
- Proven experience with major vendors supplying mechanical equipment, packages, piping, structures, and instrumentation items.
- Demonstrated experience in document review, vendor inspections, and quality management systems.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of EPC/M procurement cycles and supply-chain quality processes.
- Excellent understanding of quality standards, ITP development, and vendor procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workload.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with vendors, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy in documentation, reporting, and inspection records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure strict compliance with project quality standards.
