About the Role:
The Permit to Work Coordinator ensures that all work activities are carried out safely and in compliance with company policies, local regulations, and international safety standards. You will be responsible for managing the PTW system, coordinating with multiple teams, and maintaining detailed records to support a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system to ensure safe execution of all site activities.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve permit applications to confirm compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Liaise with site supervisors, contractors, and safety teams to schedule, monitor, and control work activities.
  • Ensure all permits are properly completed, authorized, and documented prior to the commencement of work.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of issued permits to verify compliance with safety protocols.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement mitigation measures related to permitted activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all permits and associated documentation.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to site personnel on PTW procedures and safety practices.
  • Assist in investigating incidents or near misses related to permit-controlled activities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Continuously improve the PTW process to enhance safety, efficiency, and compliance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in managing Permit to Work systems, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain thorough documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple permits and tasks simultaneously under pressure.
  • Knowledge of local safety regulations, company policies, and international safety standards.
  • Proactive, organized, and committed to promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
