Powerspray Electromechanical LLC is hiring MEP Planning Engineer. The MEP Planning Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring of MEP project activities.
This position supports design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams by developing detailed project schedules, identifying delays, coordinating activities, preparing claims, and ensuring timely project completion. The engineer ensures efficient communication across stakeholders and contributes to risk mitigation and performance improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera (P6).
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, KPIs, manpower histograms, and plant/equipment histograms.
- Create, track, and manage various planning trackers (procurement, engineering, material, site progress).
- Coordinate daily with internal teams for engineering, design submissions, procurement, and authority approvals.
- Communicate schedule requirements, critical issues, and delays to project teams promptly.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve planning and technical matters efficiently.
- Manage the full subcontractor cycle: tendering, procurement, mobilization, progress tracking, meetings, and closeout.
- Monitor subcontractor performances and ensure compliance with project timelines.
- Identify potential delays and risks impacting project schedules.
- Implement mitigation strategies and prepare recovery schedules.
- Prepare delay notices, interim claims, EOT documentation, and final claims for project closeout.
- Maintain planning records, logs, and schedules for all engineering, procurement, and site activities.
- Provide detailed schedule updates and reports to management for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- Additional planning-related certifications are an advantage.
- UAE authority cards (if required), such as ADDC, ADQCC, Municipality Cards, etc.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years total experience.
- GCC/Middle East MEP experience preferred.
- Strong UAE experience mandatory.
- Experience in MEP subcontracting industry highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory).
- Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of MEP systems, engineering sequences, and construction processes.
- Understanding of UAE authority procedures and approvals.
- Experience using delay analysis tools and techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
