MEP Planning Engineer

Position Overview 

MENASCO is hiring MEP Planning Engineer for planning, scheduling, and execution of MEP projects. This position requires a skilled professional capable of managing timelines, resources, and risks while maintaining smooth coordination among various engineering disciplines.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail to ensure that all MEP activities are completed efficiently, on time, and in compliance with client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed MEP project execution plans, defining project scope, deliverables, timelines, and milestones.
• Prepare, monitor, and control project schedules using professional planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and other disciplines to ensure alignment on project progress and deliverables.
• Coordinate and track resource allocation (materials, manpower, and equipment) to ensure optimal utilization.
• Participate in weekly and monthly project progress meetings, providing updates on planning activities, risks, and schedule variances.
• Identify and evaluate potential risks and delays, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules and provide performance analysis through reports and dashboards.
• Generate progress reports for management and clients, highlighting achievements, critical issues, and upcoming activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality guidelines.
• Support the procurement and subcontracting teams by providing accurate project timelines and resource requirements.
• Continuously assess and improve planning methodologies and tools for enhanced project performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or any related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in MEP project planning within the construction or contracting industry.
• Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
• Knowledge of project lifecycle, cost control, and earned value management principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Proficiency in project scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong command of MEP engineering principles and systems integration.
