Mechanical BIM Modeler

GESCO is seeking skilled and experienced Mechanical BIM Modelers (03 positions) to join its expanding engineering team. The Mechanical BIM Modeler will be responsible for developing, updating, and coordinating detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and related MEP services.

The role requires strong technical proficiency, excellent coordination capability, and in-depth knowledge of MEP drafting standards within the UAE construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, update, and manage Revit-based BIM models for mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Develop detailed MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings as required.
• Conduct clash detection, prepare clash reports, and coordinate solutions with consultants, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Work closely with design, engineering, and site teams to ensure seamless technical coordination.
• Produce detailed sections, schematics, schedules, and fabrication drawings.
• Maintain BIM documentation, templates, families, and project standards.
• Assist in BIM model troubleshooting and provide support to engineers and draftsmen.
• Ensure models meet internal QA/QC standards and industry best practices.
• Support BIM implementation and workflow improvements across the MEP department.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience as a Mechanical BIM Modeler in MEP contracting or consultancy firms (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP) and AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of MEP systems: HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Piping layouts
• Experience in preparing detailed 3D models and fully coordinated MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of BIM execution plans, LOD requirements, and project modeling standards.
• Ability to work efficiently within multidisciplinary project teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Additional certifications in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, or BIM technologies are advantageous.
• Familiarity with international and UAE MEP standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, UPC, IPC).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEP BIM modeling.
• Hands-on experience in large-scale UAE projects is highly preferred.
• Experience working on residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use projects.
