Infrastructure Draughtsman (CAD, GIS, 3D)

We are seeking an Experienced Infrastructure Draughtsman to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CAD, GIS, 3D modeling, and infrastructure design, supporting project teams with detailed drawings, analysis, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate 3D drawings for infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and urban development projects.
• Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar) to produce detailed design drawings.
• Develop and maintain GIS-based mapping for project planning, analysis, and asset management.
• Assist in the preparation of technical designs, layouts, and schematics according to project requirements and engineering standards.
• Review and interpret design documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure correctness and compliance with local regulations.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to support design and drafting work.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and project managers to ensure drawings reflect project needs and revisions.
• Ensure proper version control, documentation, and filing of drawings and technical documents.
• Support quality assurance by verifying dimensions, materials, and design standards in drawings.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and design documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Surveying, or related field.
• Proven professional certification in CAD, GIS, or 3D modeling is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of UAE infrastructure standards, codes, and regulations is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience as an Infrastructure Draughtsman or similar role.
• Extensive experience in civil infrastructure, roadworks, drainage, and utility projects.
• Prior UAE project experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with GIS, 3D modeling, and analysis tools.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, or other industry-standard CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of GIS software and spatial data analysis (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools for infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and survey data accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in drafting.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical coordination.
