Job Description

RTC Road and Traffic Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Draftsman to join our expanding team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate design and as-built drawings for infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, and site development works, ensuring compliance with local authority standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Detailed Drawings: Develop detailed and precise drawings for infrastructure and utility projects, including roads, drainage, sewerage, water supply, electrical, and telecom networks.
• Collaboration with Design Engineers: Work closely with engineers to produce design drawings, revisions, and as-built documentation while ensuring project specifications are met.
• Compliance with Authorities: Ensure all drawings adhere to UAE local authority standards, including DMT (Department of Municipalities and Transport), ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality), ADDC (Abu Dhabi Distribution Company), Etisalat, ADSSC (Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company), and other relevant authorities.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain organized drawing records, manage updates, and track revisions throughout project development phases.
• GIS Documentation: Prepare and update GIS-based documents for authority submissions and project tracking.
• Technical Support: Assist the project team in resolving technical drawing-related queries and provide input for design improvements.
• Quality Assurance: Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with project specifications before submission.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure drafting within the UAE, preferably with exposure to large-scale projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles for roads, utilities, and site development.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate and error-free drawings.
• Teamwork & Communication: Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Authority Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE authority standards, submission procedures, and approval processes.
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field is preferred.
