China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC) is hiring an HSE Officer for the ongoing West East Pipeline Project (WEP) in Habshan, Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for candidates with solid ADNOC project experience and recognized HSE certifications.
Job Overview
The HSE Officer will support site safety operations, conduct inspections, enforce compliance, and help create a safe work environment on one of Abu Dhabi’s major energy projects. The role plays a key part in maintaining ADNOC standards and ensuring that all work is carried out safely and responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor all site activities and ensure compliance with ADNOC and project safety standards.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and report unsafe conditions or violations.
- Support the implementation of project HSE plans and procedures.
- Identify hazards and evaluate risks across work areas.
- Recommend corrective actions and ensure follow up is completed.
- Support Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to Work (PTW), and toolbox talks.
- Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Support emergency drills and ensure readiness of emergency equipment.
- Promote incident prevention through awareness and continuous coaching.
- Conduct safety inductions for new workers.
- Participate in awareness sessions on safe lifting, confined spaces, working at height, and other high risk activities.
- Communicate safety alerts and lessons learned.
- Maintain accurate safety records and inspection reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
- NEBOSH IGC certification mandatory.
- IOSH or OSHA certification mandatory.
- Additional HSE diplomas or industry specific training is an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Mandatory ADNOC project experience in the UAE.
- Experience in oil and gas construction, pipeline work, or energy sector projects.
- Knowledge of ADNOC Onshore and ADNOC Gas safety requirements.
Special Application Notes
- Candidates currently working directly under ADNOC Onshore must provide an NOC.
- Candidates from ADNOC Gas, Borouge, or Offshore may apply without an NOC, as long as they can use a camera enabled mobile device for the interview.
