About the Role
GCC seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. The HR Assistant will play a vital role in supporting HR operations, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws, and assisting in employee engagement and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the full recruitment process, including job postings, shortlisting, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
- Maintain and update accurate employee records (digital and physical files).
- Support onboarding and offboarding procedures, ensuring smooth transitions for new hires and exiting employees.
- Prepare HR-related documents such as offer letters, contracts, warnings, memos, and employment certificates.
- Handle daily employee queries related to HR policies, attendance, payroll, and leave management.
- Track employee attendance, leave applications, and maintain HR logs and registers.
- Coordinate with PRO for visa processing, renewals, and other government-related documentation.
- Support performance appraisal processes and assist in training coordination.
- Ensure all HR activities comply with UAE Labor Law and company policies.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and assist in other HR-related projects as assigned.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Additional certification or diploma in HR Management is an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a Human Resources or administrative role.
- Experience in the construction, manufacturing, or industrial sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with UAE labor law and HR best practices.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of HR software systems, databases, or ERP tools.
- Understanding of HR documentation, payroll processes, and leave management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective coordination with staff and management.
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Accuracy in maintaining employee records and preparing HR documents.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving HR-related issues efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities or HR procedures.
Employment Details
- Working Days: Sunday to Thursday (with occasional Saturday work as required)
