Estimation Engineer

Position Overview

EMCC Company LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer with a strong background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Facilities Management projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, analyzing tender documents, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring that all estimations align with company standards and client expectations.

This position plays a key role in the company’s bidding, pricing, and cost control strategy, directly supporting EMCC’s growth and project success across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications for MEP and FM projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Coordinate with the procurement, operations, and engineering teams to validate estimates and resource requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost competitiveness and technical compliance.
• Perform technical and commercial analysis of tenders to identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive bid documents and tender reports within deadlines.
• Conduct site visits and participate in pre-bid meetings for data collection and technical evaluation.
• Maintain and regularly update cost databases, pricing libraries, and supplier lists.
• Support management with post-tender negotiations and cost-related clarifications when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
• 5–8 years of UAE-based experience in estimation or tendering within the MEP or Facilities Management industry (mandatory).
• Proven experience in preparing estimates for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Maintenance projects.
• Strong knowledge of local market rates, material suppliers, and subcontractor pricing.
• Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with MEP systems, technical drawings, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Strong teamwork and coordination abilities within multidisciplinary environments.
