Al Geemi Contracting Co. L.L.C. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller with experience in ACONEX project management system. The ideal candidate will manage, control, and distribute project documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
The role is essential for supporting smooth project execution and maintaining proper records for audits, inspections, and project handovers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, review, and distribute project documents using the ACONEX system.
- Ensure all documents, drawings, submittals, and correspondence are accurately logged, indexed, and tracked.
- Maintain the document control database and ensure timely updating of all project files.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to manage document approvals and revisions.
- Prepare and maintain submittal registers, transmittals, and document control logs.
- Ensure compliance with company and client document management standards.
- Support project close-out and handover activities by compiling, organizing, and archiving project documentation.
- Generate regular reports for project management and audit purposes.
- Provide training or support to team members on document control processes and ACONEX system usage.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Document Controller in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong familiarity with ACONEX document management system is mandatory.
- Good understanding of construction project documentation processes including drawings, submittals, method statements, and contracts.
- Knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and documentation practices is an advantage.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Experience:
- Proven experience in handling project documentation in construction projects.
- Prior experience with multi-discipline projects and large-scale infrastructure projects preferred.
- Experience in project handover, closeout, and archiving of documentation.
