Position Overview
Omnium International is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Cost Managers to support a wide portfolio of high-profile projects across various sectors. As the UAE construction market continues to expand heading into 2025 and beyond, Omnium International is strengthening its Dubai operations and seeking highly skilled Cost Managers to join their growing team.
This role is ideal for professionals ready to advance their careers and contribute to some of the UAE’s most significant and ambitious construction developments.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Contract Responsibilities
- Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies.
- Conduct detailed quantification and measurement from drawings, models, and specifications.
- Assist in tender documentation, including bills of quantities (BOQ), pricing schedules, and cost breakdowns.
- Support procurement by evaluating tender submissions, conducting commercial assessments, and advising on award recommendations.
- Prepare financial appraisals, risk assessments, and value engineering recommendations.
Post-Contract Responsibilities
- Provide commercial management throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Manage and track project cost control, variations, and change orders.
- Conduct monthly valuations, progress payment assessments, and cost reporting.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, cost summaries, and financial status reports.
- Support contract administration, claims review, and dispute resolution documentation.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project requirements, and financial controls.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Attend project coordination meetings and present commercial updates confidently.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely cost advice at all project stages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- MRICS / RICS membership preferred (or working towards chartership).
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying.
- Strong experience in UAE or GCC construction projects is an advantage.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Proficiency in cost management software such as CostX, Candy/CCS, Excel, and other industry tools.
- Strong understanding of measurement standards, contract forms, tendering procedures, and construction cost structures.
- Experience in pre- and post-contract QS services for medium- to large-scale developments.
- Strong numeracy, financial analysis, and commercial acumen.
- Ability to prepare detailed and accurate cost reports and deliver professional presentations.
