Green Oasis Contracting is hiring an experienced Construction Manager to lead, manage, and supervise all site-related activities for roads and infrastructure projects.
Role Summary
The Construction Manager will oversee the full execution of site works related to roads and utilities, ensuring safety, quality, and timely progress. The ideal candidate will have proven UAE experience in underground utilities and road construction, along with strong leadership, planning, and coordination capabilities. The role focuses on day-to-day supervision, productivity management, resolving site challenges, and coordinating with engineering, planning, procurement, and quality teams. The candidate must be capable of driving performance, optimizing resources, and ensuring smooth project delivery. This role requires an individual wheo can ensure that all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage daily construction activities for underground utilities (sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, drinking water, firefighting networks, telecom ducts) and road works.
- Ensure all on-site activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and authority standards (RTA, DM, DEWA, Etisalat, etc.).
- Coordinate sequencing, work fronts, and access routes to ensure uninterrupted progress and prevent work conflicts.
- Review manpower, equipment, and material needs regularly and optimize resource deployment to meet project milestones.
- Supervise and monitor workmanship in excavation, backfilling, compaction, formation preparation, and asphalt layers.
- Ensure inspection requests and quality documentation are completed before submitting to consultants or authorities.
- Identify site issues early, propose corrective actions, and implement practical solutions to avoid delays.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure that all crews follow HSE rules and safe work practices.
- Provide accurate daily and weekly progress reports for planning and project management teams.
- Coordinate closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to maintain workflow continuity.
- Support quality, technical, and HSE teams during audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- PMP or Construction Management certification is an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience in the UAE.
- Strong background in infrastructure projects, specifically roads and underground utilities.
- Experience handling large-scale infrastructure packages in compliance with authority standards.
- Proven track record in managing multicultural site teams and subcontractors.
Technical Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Road construction processes (subgrade, subbase, base, asphalt layers)
- Utility installation techniques for sewer, drainage, irrigation, potable water, firefighting, and telecom networks
- UAE authority requirements and inspection procedures
- Ability to read, interpret, and implement engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of method statements, ITPs, quality control, and HSE standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD viewing, and project reporting tools.
