Architectural Draftsman (Interior Fit-Out)

ARCO Interiors L.L.C., a leading interior fit-out and design company, is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsman with a strong background in interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical drafting skills, deep knowledge of interior detailing, and the ability to convert design concepts into high-quality technical drawings that meet UAE standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in drafting for interior fit-out projects (commercial, luxury, hospitality, etc.).
• Strong technical expertise in AutoCAD; additional knowledge in Revit and 3Ds Max is an advantage.
• Proven ability to prepare detailed shop drawings, joinery details, and coordinated drawings with MEP teams.
• Thorough understanding of UAE building codes, local regulations, and authority submission requirements.
• Experience working with a design team, technical coordinators, and project managers.
• Ability to interpret design concepts and convert them into technical construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, joinery standards, and interior fit-out practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare highly detailed architectural and interior shop drawings as per project requirements.
• Translate design concepts, sketches, and layouts into precise technical drawings.
• Coordinate and integrate drawings with MEP, structural, and other related disciplines.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications, codes, and authority standards.
• Update drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and client feedback.
• Collaborate with design teams to refine and finalize project layouts.
• Prepare plans, sections, elevations, joinery details, material specifications, and schedules.
• Maintain clear documentation and support timely submission of drawings for approvals.
• Identify potential technical issues and propose practical, compliant solutions.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit and 3Ds Max is a plus.
• Strong visualization and drafting abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of interior fit-out procedures, materials, finishes, and construction sequences.
• Strong understanding of joinery, millwork, interior detailing, and technical coordination.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural/MEP drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks with high accuracy.
