🏗️ Key Responsibilities of an Architect Engineer
Architect Engineers play a critical role in both design and execution phases of construction projects. Responsibilities include:
🧱 Design & Drawings
- Develop architectural concepts and detailed designs
- Prepare shop drawings in coordination with structural and MEP teams
📋 Compliance & Approvals
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and project specifications
- Coordinate with consultants for design approvals
🏢 Site Supervision
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress
- Ensure design is implemented as per approved drawings
🤝 Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with:
- Clients
- Consultants
- Contractors
- Manage communication for smooth project execution
🎨 Material & Technical Management
- Handle material selection and finishes
- Prepare and review technical submittals
📊 Project Support
- Assist in project planning and scheduling
- Support execution to meet project timelines
✅ Key Requirements
🎓 Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
🏗️ Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in UAE construction projects is highly preferred
⚙️ Technical Skills
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- Revit (preferred)
- MS Office
- Strong knowledge of:
- Shop drawings
- Material submittals
- Design coordination
