Architectural Draftsman (Interior Fit-Out)

ARCO Interiors L.L.C. is seeking a highly skilled Architectural Draftsman with strong Interior Fit-Out experience to join our professional team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a critical role in translating design concepts into precise technical drawings for high-quality commercial, luxury, and hospitality interior projects across the UAE.

Job Overview

The Architectural Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed architectural and interior fit-out drawings from concept through construction and as-built stages. This role requires strong technical drafting skills, deep knowledge of interior detailing, and close coordination with design, MEP, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural and interior fit-out drawings, including layout plans, sections, elevations, details, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Translate architectural and interior design concepts into accurate technical drawings suitable for site execution.
• Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, technical coordinators, and project managers to resolve design and coordination issues.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved design concepts, project specifications, UAE building codes, and authority requirements.
• Develop detailed joinery, furniture, ceiling, flooring, wall finishes, and custom interior details.
• Review and update drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, and client requirements.
• Support the project team during construction by providing clarification drawings and resolving technical queries.
• Maintain proper drawing registers and document control procedures in coordination with the project team.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings to meet project schedules and milestones.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of UAE experience as an Architectural Draftsman, specifically in interior fit-out projects.
• Proven experience in commercial, luxury residential, hospitality, and retail interior projects.
• Prior experience working with an interior fit-out contractor is mandatory.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of 3Ds Max is preferred.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out detailing, joinery works, material finishes, and construction methodologies.
• Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
