QA/QC Engineer – Interior Fit-Out

ARCO Interiors L.L.C., a well-established interior fit-out contractor in the UAE, is currently seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer (Interior Fit-Out) to support ongoing and upcoming projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all fit-out works are executed in compliance with approved quality standards, project specifications, and client requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with company policies and ISO standards.
• Ensure quality procedures, inspection plans, and testing requirements are effectively applied throughout all project phases.
• Prepare, review, and control quality documentation prior to and during project execution.
• Monitor and control all quality-related activities on site for interior fit-out works.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of materials, workmanship, and installations.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Identify quality risks and non-conformities and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare, review, and maintain quality records including MARs, MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, and related reports.
• Track, monitor, and close non-conformance reports in coordination with project teams.
• Maintain organized and accurate quality records for audits and project close-out.
• Coordinate closely with project engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on quality matters.
• Ensure project quality requirements are clearly communicated to vendors and subcontractors through documentation and submittals.
• Attend quality meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Handle customer complaints related to quality and ensure timely closure.

Project Close-Out

1. Manage and control quality-related close-out documentation, including:

• Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals
• Warranty certificates
• Testing & Commissioning (T&C) reports

2. Ensure all quality documents are completed, approved, and properly archived at project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Formal training or certification in Quality Management Systems is an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, specifically in interior fit-out projects.
• Proven experience working with a fit-out contracting company in the UAE (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with interior finishes such as joinery, gypsum works, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, and MEP interfaces.

Skills & Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, and inspection processes.
• Ability to review and control technical submittals and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards, consultant requirements, and project specifications.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
