Technical Office Engineer – Infrastructure

Full Time

Al Marwan Group is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Technical Office Engineer to support our infrastructure and road construction projects. This role involves preparing technical documentation, coordinating between engineering teams, supporting project planning, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate must have solid U.A.E experience and strong civil engineering knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals in coordination with project standards.
  • Verify that drawings and documentation comply with approved designs, codes, and contract requirements.
  • Maintain organized logs for drawings, revisions, approvals, and submissions.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors regarding project needs, clarifications, and technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to the site team, ensuring accurate interpretation of drawings and specifications.
  • Attend coordination meetings and share updates with project management.
  • Perform quantity take-offs, material calculations, and prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
  • Assist in cost estimation, resource planning, and material forecasting.
  • Review supplier quotations for technical accuracy and suitability.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, construction standards, and local regulations.
  • Support in preparing method statements, material submissions, and engineering proposals.
  • Track project progress and assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly project reports.
  • Assist Project Engineers and Planning teams with schedules, timelines, and workflow documentation.
  • Identify technical challenges and propose engineering solutions to minimize delays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • Valid attested degree as per UAE requirements.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of technical office experience in the U.A.E.
  • Hands-on involvement in infrastructure and road projects (mandatory).
  • Experience working with consultants, contractors, and local authorities in the U.A.E.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, civil drawings, and infrastructure design standards.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, roads, utilities, and drainage systems.
  • Familiarity with project documentation, shop drawing procedures, and authority requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of quantity surveying, BOQ preparation, and engineering calculations.
