Construction Manager (Civil)

NAF Contracting LLC is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Manager (Civil) to oversee major construction projects across Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess strong site management capabilities, technical expertise in civil engineering, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Job Purpose

The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing the full cycle of on-site civil construction activities. This includes project planning, execution, coordination, and supervision to ensure timely completion within budget and compliance with engineering standards, contractual obligations, and HSE guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Construction & Site Management

• Lead all on-site construction activities ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Review project drawings, specifications, method statements, and ensure proper implementation.
• Monitor site progress, identify delays, and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
• Oversee subcontractor activities and ensure adherence to scope and quality requirements.
• Ensure all work is performed according to approved IFC drawings, standards, and project QA/QC policies.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Attend technical meetings, resolve site-related issues, and escalate critical matters to senior management.
• Liaise with authorities when required for inspections, approvals, and compliance checks.

Planning & Resource Management

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management review.
• Plan manpower, materials, and equipment requirements for efficient use of resources.
• Monitor procurement status and ensure timely availability of materials.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure implementation of project quality plans and compliance with engineering standards.
• Enforce HSE regulations and support site safety teams to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship, materials, and quality compliance.

Cost & Risk Control

• Review and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and variation claims.
• Identify risks related to schedule, cost, quality, and propose mitigation plans.
• Maintain professional documentation and records for audits and claims.

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• 10–15 years of experience in managing civil construction projects in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of local building codes, authority requirements, and construction regulations.
• Proven experience managing large-scale civil, infrastructure, or commercial projects.
• Valid UAE experience is a must.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in civil construction methodologies and project sequencing.
• Strong knowledge of project management tools and MS Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong command of site execution, planning, and resource allocation.
