is hiring a Junior Project Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in the heavy fabrication industry. This role is ideal for candidates who have hands-on experience working with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, structural steel, piping, and module skids. The selected candidate will support project planning, coordination, execution, and documentation to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.
Job Overview
The Junior Project Engineer will assist in project coordination, documentation, production follow-up, and communication with clients and internal departments. The candidate must possess excellent technical understanding, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify Material Requests (MR) and Purchase Requests (PR) and consolidate orders when needed.
- Maintain and update the Vendor Document Requirement List (VDRL) for all assigned projects.
- Coordinate with internal departments including Design, Quality, Production, Procurement, and Planning for collecting and reviewing necessary project documents.
- Ensure timely submission of technical documents, drawings, and reports to clients.
- Maintain records of project documentation and ensure compliance with internal quality procedures.
- Assist in preparing and updating detailed project schedules according to project milestones and client requirements.
- Monitor fabrication and production progress daily and highlight any delays or bottlenecks.
- Implement mitigation strategies to avoid schedule overruns.
- Prepare periodic project progress reports.
- Maintain direct communication with clients for document submissions, technical clarifications, progress updates, and approvals.
- Attend client meetings (online or onsite) to support project discussions.
- Coordinate with the Production Department daily for fabrication updates and shop-floor requirements.
- Track and manage Variation Orders (VOs) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and project guidelines.
- Ensure that all work activities comply with quality procedures and project standards.
- Support the Quality Team during inspections, document submissions, and NCR closures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certification in project management or fabrication engineering is a plus.
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in the heavy fabrication industry.
- Hands-on experience with: Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Structural Steel, Piping Skids, Storage Tanks, Modular Skids
- Experience in project coordination, documentation, and production follow-up.
