Senior Estimator

Dugasta Group is expanding its Construction Division and seeking skilled and experienced professionals to support upcoming commercial and residential development projects. The Senior Estimator – Civil will play a key role in managing and preparing cost estimates for civil engineering and construction projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects based on project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Analyze project requirements, BOQs, RFQs, and technical submissions to ensure accuracy during tender preparation.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and material cost evaluations.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations, ensuring they meet project requirements and cost targets.
• Assist in preparing pre-tender clarifications, value engineering options, and commercial proposals.
• Support contract negotiations and provide cost comparison reports during subcontractor selection.
• Assist project teams with cost monitoring, cost control, and budget adherence during the execution stage.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams for accurate tender submissions.
• Maintain organized documentation including estimates, tender files, technical clarifications, and correspondence.
• Prepare periodic estimation reports for management review.
• Stay updated with UAE market rates, supplier pricing trends, and construction materials cost variations.
• Evaluate potential risks, uncertainties, and pricing variables that may affect project costs.
• Apply value engineering principles to optimize project cost and quality.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certifications in estimation, cost engineering, or quantity surveying are preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7–10 years of UAE experience in civil estimation for construction projects.
• Proven experience in pre-tender and post-tender estimation.
• Strong background in civil construction projects such as buildings, commercial structures, and infrastructure.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of civil engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and relevant construction tools.
• Knowledge of local market pricing, material costs, and construction methodologies.
• Capability to perform quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
