Civil Inspector

About the Role

KN International is looking for an experienced Civil Inspector to join our team in Liwa. The role requires strong technical expertise in supervising, monitoring, and inspecting civil and infrastructure works, especially related to sewerage, utilities, and general infrastructure development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in site inspection, material testing, contractor coordination, and quality control within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections on construction sites to ensure work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Monitor contractor activities and verify adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Perform quality checks on civil works, materials, and construction methods used on-site.
• Review and respond to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily logs, inspection reports, and records of non-conformance issues.
• Identify deficiencies, prepare non-conformance reports (NCRs), and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
• Support engineers, project managers, and contractors in resolving site-related challenges and technical issues.
• Inspect and verify excavation, bedding, pipe installation, compaction, and backfilling works for sewerage and infrastructure projects.
• Assist in reviewing method statements, technical submittals, risk assessments, and material approvals.
• Participate in site meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, quality issues, and inspection outcomes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure and sewerage projects.
• Strong understanding of UAE construction regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
• Proven experience in quality control, material testing, and site supervision.
• Ability to inspect excavation, bedding, pipe laying, compaction, and backfilling works.
• Knowledge of documentation and inspection procedures for civil and underground utilities projects.
• Valid UAE experience is highly preferred.
