About the Role
Al Geemi Contracting Co. L.L.C. is urgently seeking an experienced PMV (Plant, Machinery & Vehicles) Engineer to oversee and manage maintenance operations for heavy equipment, MSE machines, and construction vehicles used in road and infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, asset management, and workshop supervision, with at least 6–7 years of experience working on major UAE infrastructure or civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, vehicles, and MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) machines.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Monitor the performance, availability, and service life of equipment and recommend replacements when necessary.
- Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure the timely deployment and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability and cost efficiency.
- Review maintenance reports, equipment logs, and fuel consumption data for accuracy.
- Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and workshop safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in construction machinery.
- Lead and train maintenance teams, mechanics, and operators to ensure effective performance.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers for technical support and spare parts procurement.
- Contribute to the preparation of maintenance budgets, performance KPIs, and equipment utilization reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 6–7 years of solid experience as a PMV Engineer in road, infrastructure, or civil construction projects within the UAE.
- Proven knowledge in maintenance of MSE Machines, heavy equipment, construction vehicles, and plants.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical components, and equipment calibration.
- Experience managing workshops and maintenance teams for large-scale projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- UAE driving license preferred.
